Root for Food is getting back to it’s roots.
Yep. I’m switching gears with my content and I’m so excited about it. Thank you (from the bottom of my heart) for being along for the ride!
I started my Instagram to have a voice in the things I believed in. Nothing has changed there. But initially, I started my platform to promote sustainability. To promote organic, seasonal, and local foods. To promote the awareness of and support of local farmers and growers. I have always felt a huge burden for our planet and a passion for empowering people to make mindful decision that preserve our planet for future generations.
With that being said, I’m going to be sharing my journey in this area to hopefully inspire you as well!
It has always been a life goal of mine to be more self-sufficient. (I thank my parents for modeling this in their own lives! They truly live “off the grid” in the Texas Hill Country.)
One of the most empowering and eco-conscious things we can do is… grow our own food!
BUT HOW DO WE EVEN BEGIN?!
I think one of the biggest barriers to growing our own food is overwhelm. People don’t know how or where to start.
Well, I WANT TO CHANGE THAT.
Contrary to common assumption, you don’t even need actual LAND to grown your own food. In fact, you need very little space at all!
WANT TO LEARN?!
GREAT! I’m ready to teach. I could nerd out on this stuff ALL.DAY.LONG.
